Following an escape of water originating from the apartment above, West Nine were appointed by McLarens Loss Adjusters to undertake the initial strip-out works to a 1,600 sq. ft. duplex residence in Kensington, facilitating the installation of specialist drying systems by Richford’s.
Upon successful completion of the drying programme, West Nine were instructed to deliver the full reinstatement of the apartment. Working closely with the international policyholder, McLarens and the appointed Building Surveyors, we restored the property within a 16-week programme, ensuring quality, coordination and budgetary control throughout.
A key complexity of the project was the multifaceted insurance structure, with multiple insurers engaged in the claim, including Aviva, Zurich, Aspen, Everest, Liberty Global Group, Endurance Worldwide and Allied World Insurance. Careful stakeholder management and clear reporting protocols were essential to maintaining progress and achieving a successful outcome for all parties involved.
