Restoring Architectural Integrity
Following major water damage, West Nine were appointed by McLarens Loss Adjusters to undertake the strip-out and technical remediation of a substantial 12,000 sq. ft. private residence in Sunningdale.
Set within expansive grounds and arranged across multiple levels, the property featured grand entertaining spaces, intricate architectural detailing and extensive natural stone finishes.

The scale of water migration required a carefully sequenced programme. This included injection drying to the floor build-ups and then specialist cavity wall drying to stabilise the building fabric and mitigate latent moisture risk.
Upon certification of the drying works, West Nine delivered a comprehensive refurbishment of the residence.
The reinstatement programme encompassed high-specification works throughout, including installing over 450m² of bespoke timber flooring and more than 12 tonnes of precision-cut marble.
Detailed joinery, refined decorative finishes and carefully coordinated material selections were integral to restoring the architectural integrity and aesthetic coherence of the home.

Working in close collaboration with McLarens and the international policyholder, we managed the project over a 10-month programme.
We were additionally instructed to incorporate a series of enhancement works outside of the insurance remit. These elements were carefully scoped, costed and managed as discrete packages to ensure clear delineation from the insured works, maintaining transparency and alignment with all stakeholders.
Over the course of the project, we maintained rigorous quality assurance, structured reporting protocols and disciplined cost control at every stage.
Despite the technical complexity and exceptional scale of the works, the project was delivered on programme and below agreed budget parameters, achieving a reinstatement of outstanding quality and preserving the character, craftsmanship and presence of this remarkable residence.
