St John’s Wood

Rooted in Heritage

The project involved a comprehensive internal transformation, alongside the installation of entirely new mechanical and electrical systems, sensitively integrated to meet contemporary performance standards without compromising the building’s historic fabric or proportions.

The refurbishment was defined by a sophisticated, design-led approach. High-specification joinery, natural stone and marble were introduced with care, sitting comfortably within the architectural language of the original villa. Decorative elements were preserved and repaired where required, ensuring the integrity and character of the listed interiors were maintained.

The principal suite was reconfigured to incorporate his and hers dressing rooms, providing functionality and privacy while respecting the hierarchy and rhythm of the upper floors.

Externally, extensive landscaping works were undertaken in parallel with the building programme, reshaping the surrounding gardens to complement the restored façade and enhance the relationship between the principal reception spaces and the wider setting.

Working within a listed structure required close coordination with conservation officers and detailed planning oversight throughout. The project was completed over an 11-month programme under direct senior leadership, maintaining clarity, quality and steady progress at every stage.

The result is an elegant and carefully restored family home, respectful of its architectural heritage while thoughtfully updated through considered, sophisticated design.

Each one reflects our dedication to quality, innovation, and building spaces that stand the test of time.
